The Challenge
As advocates for absolute purity, the brand formulated their products with highly active, preservative-free botanical ingredients that were exceptionally vulnerable to oxidation and air exposure. Traditional airless bottles, which rely on multi-material pumps and metal springs, are notoriously difficult to recycle and failed to meet the brand’s eco-mandates. Furthermore, they needed a comprehensive size range (30ml, 50ml, and 100ml) that maintained visual consistency across different product weights without looking clinical or uninspired.
Our Solution
To bridge the gap between regulatory compliance and premium aesthetics, the client partnered with Fomalhaut to implement our mono-material PP airless bottle series. Moving away from mixed-material packaging, Fomalhaut provided a 100% recyclable, all-PP structure that fully complies with EU recycling standards while eliminating the risk of formula-metal cross-contamination. The high-performance airless pump mechanism perfectly shielded the sensitive active lotions and serums from air, significantly extending shelf life and ensuring near-total product evacuation. To match the brand’s energetic ethos, we utilized our custom color injection for the bottles and finished them with vivid, eye-catching silk screen printing—proving that strict European eco-sustainability can seamlessly coexist with bold, vibrant design.
